On the Filipino-American experience on Guam:

I've ideals and beliefs like an American. I should. I was born and raised on American soil. There are so many ethnic-American groups. Basic kindness to all is a great practice, and the division concept is truly inherent in the Filipino culture from the P.I., when the Spaniards and even Chinese (more Spain, though) came into the picture. We, individually, and maybe collectively now that we're aware, have a choice to adhere to this "division concept." When you bring this to the U.S., you are not quite "American" yet!
