Pacifico "Pacing" Muyco

My father, Pacifico "Pacing"  Muyco, shared the nickname, "Mike," with his younger brother Teodolfo Muyco. He cherished his life-long friendship with the men of Camp Roxas and often told us many vivid stories of their comaraderie.

Each of his friends had their inherent, unique character.

Many of my father's closest friends became my godfather (ninong) at birth and, vice versa, my Dad to their children.

Dad was well known in Camp Roxas for his  tennis and boxing skills.  At family gatherings, his friends would often try to test his natural reflexes from boxing or his hand-eye coordination from tennis.  Dad loved both sports but, later in life, with two overly aggressive sons, he discouraged us from pursuing boxing.

Dad continued to play tennis, even competitively, well into his 60's. Our home is filled with Dad's many tennis trophies, which are his cherished prize possessions.
